This is the most widely used bearing type. Deep groove ball bearings can accommodate radial and thrust loads. They have a simple structure and this bearing type is good for applications which demand high speed, quiet running, and low vibration.

This bearing accomodates radial direction loads and single direction axial loads. This bearing type differs in the contact angle and bearing ring design. As the contact angle increases, the axial load also increases.

This type of bearing can accomodate high radial loads and thrust loads in both directions. It is suitable for bearing arrangements requiring rigid axial guidance. The basic designs of double-row angular contact ball bearings differ in the contact angle and bearing ring design.

Tapered roller bearings are designed to take combined heavy radial loads and heavy thrust loads in one direction while operating at moderate speeds. This type of bearing consists of cup and cone, which is combined with roller and cage.

Spherical roller bearings are designed for carrying heavy radial loads. They feature two rows of symmetric barrel rollers which can align freely in the spherical outer ring raceway, thus compensating for shaft deflections and misalignment of the bearing seats.

Self-aligning ball bearings are of the double-row type, with a spherical outer ring raceway. Their self-aligning capability allows them to compensate for misalignments, shaft deflections and housing deformations.

Barrel roller bearings are single row, self-aligning roller bearings. They are especially suitable for applications where a high radial load-carrying capacity and compensation for misalignment are required. This type of bearing is good for high rolling speed and there are many varieties, such as NU, NJ, NUP, N, and NF type.
